About Leilani Anderson-Monroe

My name is Leilani Anderson-Monroe. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Houston, TX. My childhood was marked by difficulties after my parents separated, and we had to move to a low-income housing project.

During my formative years, I experienced bullying from other girls, which unfortunately persisted into adulthood with women a few times. Through these challenges, I recognized a lack of respect, understanding, and support among women, often due to their own personal struggles. I understand that growing up as a young girl or woman can be difficult. Despite my efforts to fit in, I never quite felt like I belonged. That’s why my goal has always been to change this narrative, even if it takes time.
